B Grade Prints
B Grade Prints
The test prints I run every month are sometimes printed on archival matte paper which is less expensive than the Moab Entrada Rag and Hahnemühle paper I’m shifting all my prints to. Archival matte paper is 230 gsm and a perfectly good option! I print my yap series on archival matte so I can offer them at a lower price point, but I am aiming for all future prints to be offered on thicker paper.
Color differentiation: B grade prints vary slightly in color compared to the final product. You won’t receive a low quality print, but the saturation, hue, or tone, for example, might be slightly different than what I’ve settled on for the final version.
Smudging: Smudges are on the back of the print and don’t affect the overall presentation of the piece.
Terrier & Tomahawk: I decided to not offer this print as part of a print drop but I did have a good quality borderless test print. It’s the only one of its kind because no other prints will be made.
Caviar: I decided to not offer this as a print, so like above, it is the only one of its kind because no other prints of it will be made.
