Tangerines

Tangerines presents a stark white table and chairs floating in a sea of ultramarine blue. While the table and tangerines feature the expressive, impasto brushstrokes signature to much of my work, it’s the fluid, glossy blue background that immediately captures the eye. Achieved using a fast drying medium, this luminous expanse of blue suggests an empty dreamscape, contrasting with the small, tender act of peeling tangerines.
